New Whisky Releases: Glen Scotia Unveils 50-Year-Old ‘Air’ in Elements of Campbeltown Series; Fife’s InchDairnie Distillery Launches First-Ever KinGlassie Single Malts. 

  • Glen Scotia unveiled its oldest whisky to date in a beautiful bespoke Glencairn Crystal decanter; Glen Scotia 50 Year Old Elements of Campbeltown – Release Number One: Air. The first release in its new Elements of Campbeltown collection, it draws inspiration from the Celtic five-fold knot, and each edition will explore the impact of a natural element – air, water, fire, and earth – on the distillery’s oldest maturing whiskies.   • Fife’s InchDairnie Distillery debuted its first-ever single malts with the launch of two eight year old peated whiskies under its new KinGlassie range.  KinGlassie Double Matured is a heavily peated eight year old single malt whisky and KinGlassie Raw is aged for eight years in American oak ex-Bourbon casks. Whisky Releases: The Dalmore Luminary No.3 – The Rare and Laphroaig Elements 3.0.

  • The Dalmore announced Luminary No.3 – The Rare, (aged 52 years) the third masterpiece in the Luminary Series. Created in collaboration with architect Ben Dobbin of Foster + Partners, this exceptionally limited release, just one of two, features a decanter expertly crafted by Glencairn Crystal, paired with a bespoke sculpture to form an extraordinary expression of design.   • Laphroaig in Islay released Elements 3.0, the third in its Elements Series. This limited release was inspired by an unexpected event at the distillery when a fire in a kiln burned peat for longer and at higher temperatures, and experimenting with heat resulted in a whisky with notes of chocolate and coffee. Whisky Releases: Glen Grant 30 Year Old, Cotswolds Hearts and Crafts Calvados, and Old Particular Wine Cask Editions.

  • The Glen Grant has revealed its oldest permanent expression – a 30 year old single malt that completes the distillery’s Glasshouse Collection. All three whiskies in the collection are aged in American oak Bourbon barrels and Oloroso Sherry casks. Read More

 

  • English distillery, Cotswolds, launched the sixth edition of its Hearts and Crafts series; Hearts and Crafts Calvados Single Malt Whisky. This limited release is aged exclusively in French Calvados apple brandy casks. The collection celebrates the Arts & Crafts movement which flourished in the Cotswolds in the late 19th century.   • Douglas Laing & Co. expanded its acclaimed Old Particular Wine Cask Collection with two new Single Cask releases; Old Particular Jura 13 Year Old and Old Particular Fettercairn 14 Year Old. Each whisky is uniquely finished in hand-selected wine casks. Read More
