Glengoyne Launches Second Russell Family Cask, Ballantine’s Adds to Masterclass Collection, and Douglas Laing Expands Red Wine Cask Range

  • Glengoyne introduced the second release in its Russell Family Cask Trilogy: a 38 Year Old Single Cask matured in a first-fill American Oak Sherry Butt. The collection pays homage to the three generations of the Russell family who have stewarded the distillery. Read More 

 

  • Ballantine’s unveiled the second whisky in its Masterclass Collection: Chapter Two ‘The Waiting’. Called The Waiting due to the patience it takes to create high-aged Scotch, the collection is five 40 Year Old whiskies paying tribute to the knowledge of Ballantine’s five master blenders, past and present.   • Douglas Laing released the fourth limited-edition whisky in its Old Particular Red Wine Cask Collection: a 16 Year Old Single Grain Scotch Whisky from the Girvan Distillery. It has been finished in a single Merlot Red Wine Cask from France. Read More 

Bimber Unveils First Age Statement Whiskies, Johnnie Walker Releases 52-Year-Old Blend, and Duncan Taylor Supports MND Research with Special Edition

  • Bimber Distillery, based in London, announced the release of its first-ever age statement whiskies; The Harmony of Eight and Bimber 8 Year Old Single Cask Edition, reflecting eight years of dedication to traditional whisky-making methods. Read More 

 

  • Johnnie Walker launched a limited-edition 52 Year Old blended whisky containing liquid from eight different distilleries. Released to celebrate the blending artistry of founder John Walker and his son Alexander, only 200 bottles are available. Read More 

 

  • Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky has teamed up with My Name’5 Doddie Foundation to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) research. The blended Scotch whisky, called Number 868, is named in honour of the late Scottish rugby player Doddie Weir OBE who was diagnosed with MND in 2016 at the age of 46, six years before he passed away in 2022.
