Ardbeg Unveils Sicilian-Inspired ‘Dolce’ for Ardbeg Day as Osprey Whisky Debuts in Speyside
Ardbeg announced it is fusing Sicilian sweet with Islay peat for its limited-edition Ardbeg Day release. Ardbeg Dolce combines rare malt matured in Marsala dolce casks with classic bourbon cask-matured Ardbeg. Held annually on the final Saturday of Islay’s Festival of Music and Malt (Fèis Ìle), Ardbeg Day (30th May) is a global celebration of all things Ardbeg. Read More
Osprey, a new independent bottling Speyside single malt Scotch inspired by the region’s wildlife, landscapes, and enduring character, launched with two expressions. Its debut release coincides with World Osprey Week, celebrating the iconic bird’s return to Scotland, with proceeds supporting ongoing conservation efforts. The range features a 10-year-old Braeval matured in ex-Oloroso sherry casks and a 15-year-old Glentauchers matured in ex-bourbon barrels. Read More
Nikka Reintroduces Miyagikyo 10 Year Old While Tullibardine Honours History with The Murray 2013
Nikka Whisky revealed the UK launch of its re-released Miyagikyo 10 Year Old, a Japanese single malt that highlights the distillery’s signature elegance and fruit-forward character. Matured in a combination of American oak and sherry casks, Miyagikyo Single Malt 10 Year Old marks the first age-statement release from the Miyagikyo distillery since 2016. Read More
Perthshire’s Tullibardine Distillery unveiled a new addition to its Marquess Collection, The Murray 2013 Cask Strength, a Highland single malt matured in Bourbon barrels. The Marquess Collection pays tribute to the historical figures who held the title of Marquess of Tullibardine in Scotland over the centuries. This release honours Sir William Murray, the 2nd Marquess of Tullibardine who fought for the Jacobites at the Battle of Sheriffmuir on the Ochil Hills above the distillery. Read More
Loch Lomond Launches Original Series as Glendronach and GlenAllachie Unveil Rare Aged Releases
Loch Lomond revealed a trio of single malt whiskies – The Original Series. The collection features two new expressions: Loch Lomond Oloroso Sherry Cask and Peated Rioja Cask alongside an already existing single malt from the brand’s portfolio, Loch Lomond The Original Triple Oak. Read More
Glendronach Distillery announced a 56-year-old single malt to celebrate its 200th anniversary – its oldest whisky to date. Distilled in September 1968, the whisky was laid down in three oloroso Sherry butts from the bodegas of Jerez before being transferred in 2014 into three Spanish oak Pedro Ximenez hogsheads. The Glendronach Aged 56 Years is limited to just 200 hand-numbered Glencairn Crystal decanters. Read More
Speyside distillery, The GlenAllachie, unveiled a 35-year-old cask-strength single malt aged in four different cask types. Showcasing master blender Billy Walker’s artistry shaped by more than 50 years of expertise in cask selection and blending, The GlenAllachie 1990 35 Year Old Cask Strength is matured in mizunara oak and is married with single malts aged in oloroso and Pedro Ximénez Sherry, along with virgin American oak.
