White Peak launches Port Cask and Wire Works Provenance Core Range and Drinks by the Dram reveals luxury advent calendar.

English producer White Peak Distillery extended its Wire Works Provenance Core Range with a tawny Port cask-aged single malt. Aged in tawny Port barriques and first-fill American oak ex-Bourbon barrels, the whisky offers notes of strawberries and cream, marzipan, lemon curd, vanilla fudge, bonfire toffee, hibiscus and eucalyptus. Drinks by the Dram launched an advent calendar worth £10k ahead of the Christmas season. The calendar features rare whiskies from distilleries including Karuizawa, Port Ellen, The Macallan, Highland Park, and Yamazaki. The calendar is housed in a cabinet finished with black oak and a tree-ring motif and is available from Master of Malt. Read More 

 

Shindo Distillery Debuts First Single Malt, Coleburn Unveils Inaugural Collection, and The Whisky Exchange Reveals 2025 Christmas Whisky

Japan’s Shindo Distillery released its first single malt, which will be available exclusively via Berry Bros & Rudd in the UK. Blended from a mixture of non-peated malted barley, the liquid has been matured mainly in ex-Bourbon casks, along with virgin mizunara, oloroso Sherry and refill Scotch casks. Read More

 

Speyside-based Coleburn Distillery launched its first whisky collection, following an announcement earlier this year to reopen the site in 2027 after four decades of closure. Known collectively as the Local Heroes collection, it features three blended malts: Sherry Bomb, Sweet Peat and Big Smoke. Read More 

 

The Whisky Exchange revealed its 2025 Christmas Whisky, a 16-year-old Highland single malt. Offering flavours of Christmas pudding, brandy butter, orange, chocolate and candied almonds, the whisky was aged in first-fill oloroso Sherry butts, and has been bottled at cask strength. Read More
