Scottish Distilleries Unveil Bold New Releases: Lochlea’s Sherried Peat & Torabhaig’s Sound of Sleat.
- Farm-to-cask Lochlea Distillery in Ayrshire launched its first sherry and peat combination with Cask Strength Batch 3, the latest in its annual series of limited-edition cask strength bottlings. It’s also a significant milestone for their new Master Blender Jill Boyd who led the selection and blending of this new release from start to finish. Read More
- Torabhaig Distillery on the Isle of Skye released Sound of Sleat, the fourth limited-edition single malt in its Legacy Series. Named after the distillery’s home on the Sleat Peninsula, it has been aged in ex-Bourbon and new American oak casks. Read More
Latest Islay Whisky Releases: Smokehead’s Bold 15 Year Old Debut & Duncan Taylor’s Rare 42 Year Old Bowmore.
- Islay whisky brand Smokehead announced its oldest release yet – a 15 year old single malt featuring bold notes of peat smoke, vanilla ice cream, sweet citrus, lemon zest, and a hint of brine. Read More
- Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky unveiled a 42 year old Bowmore, one of its oldest bottlings to date, as part of its prestigious Rarest Reserve collection. Distilled in 1982 at the Bowmore Distillery on Islay, this limited-edition single malt was matured in a single Pedro Ximénez Sherry cask. Read More
