Hielander Whisky Festival

Learn everything about whiskey, taste it, smell it, in the historic ambiance of a 500-year-old church. Colour, smell and taste are the most important ingredients for a classy tasting. You will receive an explanation about the whiskeys and the distilleries where they are produced. Other topics are also discussed, such as production process, characteristics of whiskies, wood and barrels, water and peat, boilers and other technical aspects.
From 2011, North Holland has had its own Whiskey Festival in the Grote Kerk of Alkmaar. On approximately 3,000 m2, whiskey suppliers present their best whiskies, Scottish and Irish delicacies are available, clothing, travel information, trinkets and lots and lots of whisky…
