DESCRIPTION:DEAR RUM AND WHISKY FRIENDS….. \nSaturday\, October 7\, the 17th edition of the ‘Whisky & Rum aan Zee Festival’ will take place in IJmuiden. For 16 years in a row\, whisky and rum lovers have met at this very diverse festival where Whisky and Rum meet!\nThis 17th edition is all about experience\, smell and taste. More than 40 exhibitors will enthusiastically introduce you to more than 600 varieties of rum\, bourbon and whisky from all over the world. Taste the sultry atmospheres of rum from the Caribbean and South America in tropical cocktails or just pure! After a glass of single malt whisky\, imagine yourself in the overwhelming Scottish Highlands or Islay. Ireland will also be well represented\, as Irish whisky is booming! We will also offer distillation workshops to experience what it is like to distil your own spiced rum. Of course\, master classes are not missing with guests from home and abroad. To experience the versatility of whisky and rum\, we have also invited renowned cocktail bars to prepare the tastiest cocktails for you on the spot!   \nInseparable from a good glass of whisky or rum is lickety-split finger food from Caribbean/Scottish cuisine\, freshly prepared by the Apollo Hotel’s top chefs. If you are not a ‘pure’ drinker\, then the tropical cocktails are for you\, freshly prepared while enjoying live music! Prior to the festival\, a number of cocktail\, rum and whisky masterclasses will take place with national and international guests so you don’t have to miss anything in the afternoon or evening session. The programme will be announced in the coming months. This 17th edition promises to be another festival full of taste experiences\, conviviality\, experience\, delicious food and drinks.
